Surprise hangs with my niece, Mom, and partner that arrived late Halloween night after attending my brother’s soccer game. Bubble & Chalk outside followed by mac & cheese ghosts and the movie CoCo. This was a special moment to have a relaxing time with people I have a huge heart for together in the same room full of peace and love except not so much Clay when The Cowboys were losing. After this lovely and very valuable quality time Mike and I head off for some Saturday night fun in Deep Ellum. Terry Black’s BBQ & a walk through downtown Dallas to the EYEBALL at sunset. Then back down Commerce St to Main St night cap espresso’s at The All Good Cafe still standing. We return to our family friends home for their empty bed they left open to us while they left town to play a show. X and their family is there too watching A Nightmare Before Christmas. I boil some water in a pot for some hot hibiscus tea with lime and honey for myself since its poisonous if your pregnant and Mike was having a beer. I sit on the couch to watch, sip my tea and paint my nails gray and gold. Mike is still up sitting here calmly at their kitchen table scrolling.
